MIXING IT UP: VINTAGE + HIGH STREET

MIXING IT UP

Mixing pre-loved or vintage items with new and affordable pieces from the high street doesn’t need to be tricky. Looking at a vintage piece and having a sense of what it encapsulates gives you the heads up in terms of direction and styling. This vintage Lanvin skirt (part of a two-piece set) gives me serious oriental vibes. Whether its down to the rich cobalt colour, the slightly A-line shape or the front split led me to add a crisp wrap tie blouse and a topknot for that subtle take on far east influences. The ornate decoration of these beautiful sunglasses and the minimalist design of Topshop’s Seb ring handle bag complete the finished look.

Love how you pay attention to the detail of the pieces. You speak my language. So refreshing to hear you speak of such things. 💛 That skirt is amazing and you styled it great.
