If you’ve been following me on Instagram or you’re a regular reader of my blog, then you’ll know how much I adore monochrome colour palettes, especially white. If you want to check out some other white-focused outfit inspiration – click here.
There’s something about bright whites in high summer that make me feel super cool in the UK heat (not that we have much of it, but when we do – I’m on it!!) Crochet or broderie anglais, no matter the season is a must have in summer. Plenty of surface interest without going overboard and looking overdone. This beautiful A-line dress from Vila’s SS16 collection may be old but it’s a keeper and one I’m sure I’ll turn to every summer. Plus there’s so many updated versions on the UK high street this summer that the options are endless. Ill pop some of my favourites in the SHOP MY STYLE area – for the online link to the sandals – click here.
The cutaway neckline is super flattering and continues to the back too. The frill hem nods towards one of the key season trend for SS17. I’ve added a delicate gold body harness which glints beautifully in the light. Paired with my favourite vintage Chanel and some Zara flats (customised with black chiffon ribbon instead of original grosgrain option), takes me from day to night seamlessly.
